Dunfermline RFC
Dunfermline RFC is now in its 128th year and has continued to grow very rapidly over the past few years.
Rugby has restarted with the first league fixtures on 4th September. Dunfermline RFC will be the only Clubs in Scotland that are fielding three
senior Men’s teams in the Tennent’s Caledonia Leagues, our 1stXV in Caledonia League 1, our 2ndsXV in Midlands 3 and our 3rdXV playing in Midlands 4.
We are also extremely proud that our Women’s Development squad after two seasons they have joined the Tennent’s Caledonia Midland/East League their
first league game kicks off on Sunday 19th September. We now have 244 men and women training and playing.
Dunfermline RFC are now the largest Inclusive Club in Scotland and we have again this summer held a Development programme running for eight weeks
which has again attracted new player into rugby.
Our Youth section is also thriving, especially in our Midi section where we now have four boy’s teams and two girl’s team playing matches every
weekend. We now have a total of 316 boys and girls covering the Mini’s up to U18’s training and playing.
During the last few years we have carried out major drainage to our two pitches at McKane with support from Sports Scotland and at present we are
upgrading our floodlight system with the support of Scottish Rugby and the Recovery Grant.
We are constantly keeping the pavilion fit for purpose, with the tremendous work of our volunteers locally know as ‘The Commandos’ a dedicated group
of gentlemen.
Dunfermline RFC are grateful for the generous support from Friends of Scottish Rugby, we have just completed and commissioned our new hot water system
in time for the start of Season 21-22.
